  Family farm visit. Brilliant day, expensive food  - Brilliant day at the farm so much for the kids to do we took our year old and 6 month old and we all had a brilliant day, lovely tidy... read more clean well organised farm!

Price for entry was really reasonable cost us just over £20 and all activities included in the price, bouncies, go carts, train rides and the petting barn activities all included, 2 really good parks with plenty to do for a lot of ages.

Only down side was the cafe was really expensive, cost us nearly £35 for a cold wrap, 2 paninis some fries and 3 drinks. Very basic food nothing special for the price. I felt this really let the farm down as everything else was amazing! We can get 3 full size hot meals for less than that price at the local pub.

All in all, brilliant day would just have to take our own food next time.

  An unexpected great day out.  - The farm is a great day out for younger families I'd say it's more aimed towards younger ones not older ones. The petting area was great, very clean and tidy.... read more Plenty of little goats etc for the kids to feed and it never felt busy or cramped. There's quiet abit of waking involved especially round the woodland walk but again it's good to grab a coffee and walk round to have abit of chill out time with the younger ones. Overall we had a good day out. My only criticism would be the toilet block. For the size of the farm and how good everything else is the toilet let it down slightly. Only one cubical in the boys room .not ideal when there are loads of kids.

From the... read more pig racing to barrel rides and feeding the animals, plus the endless amount of fun at the parks, sandpits and bouncing pillows there's something for everyone.
Cafe was a bit pricey kids meal £7 and 4 ice creams for nearly £16 but you can also take a picnic which we would if we lived nearby.
Finished the day off with a foam party which was so much fun for adults and children.
All round brilliant day. Will definitely return when we come back to Yorkshire.

  Family Fun Day out  - Our second visit to Monk Farm the first being Easter 2023,
Children got to bottle feed the goats in the petting barn (check times )
lots of other animals to... read more see inside there too before heading outside to explore the extra large sandpit , Inflated trampoline’s and a few climb and slide kiddies playground features , We had pre purchased food to feed the animals ie sheep goats etc as we strolled into the farm’s park area where there’s another kids larger play area duck pond and a mix of animals ( Alpacas etc ) , We had timed it right for the small racing pigs grand derby Harry Trotter being the favourite of the 4 , free tickets to guess the winner ,Heading back to the picnic area we stopped of at the tractor ride pre paid tickets are £2.00 or £2.50 on the day !
On quieter Days you need to check the running order of the smaller attractions to make sure you fit them all in and don’t miss out as we did on the train ride ( it was on again later that afternoon but the children were worn out by then having been there since 10.30 , We would normally take a packed lunch and make use of the picnic area provided but today we bought kids meals for £7.00 each that was a hot dog , fries , a drink, banana and yogurt kids ate it all up so that was a bonus .   Brilliant day  - A brilliant day, the place is immaculate and well kept, the animals are well kept. There were lots of things to do involving the animals from bottle feeding baby goats... read more to donkey grooming, donkey trekking, pig racing, and much more. Plenty of staff around and all seemed happy and helpful. Play park caters for all ages with zip wire, massive trampoline, and other equipment. My 3 teenagers loved it and talking about going back.

  Great range of animals - would be very good if you have kids  - The range of animals was really good for a small farm and due to everything being spaced out, it meant you barely had to wait to see each animal. There... read more was an indoor petting barn which was lovely, with clear signage indicating which animals could have the animal feed.

There was a bottle feeding experience with the goats which a lot of the kids were doing and they seemed to be doing donkey grooming later in the day as well. There was a huge range of play equipment etc if you have kids. I went with my parents and we spent about 2.5 hours there but I reckon if you had kids you could probably spend a whole day there.

Whilst we were looking at the alpacas a very knowledgeable member of staff came up to tell us about the elederly Lulu who is 28! There was a nice picnic area beside the pond where we ate our packed lunches and a nice woodland trail to follow back to the farm after looking at the fields.

Really nice day out - I have taken a star off due to several very miserable staff members! We went to watch pig racing which was supposed to be at 1330 - they didn't bother to turn up until 1338, then spent another 7 minutes faffing about doing 'bets'. The race then started but was completely pointless because they forgot to open the second gate so all the pigs stopped halfway round. We then walked back up to the petting barn where another member of staff was telling two little kids that they couldn't possibly have a couple of minutes stroking a guinea pig because it was going to bed now!

Lovely farm, gorgeous well-looked after animals. Would definitely recommend - good price considering the amount of attractions available. We absolutely loved the degus in the petting barn - they are so friendly and entertaining 😊

  Best day of the week  - A super fun day out certainly better than the animal farm film & book. Enjoyed seeing the animals especially the Guinea pigs. Took part in pig racing, my pig lost... read more but he did so well and over took at one point. The goats were so greedy! one thing that could be improved is putting the Guinea pigs on the wall plus being allowed to hold them. My family enjoyed their day too plus it was our first time there. Our family members had recommended the company to us.

Next she went onto the barrel ride for £2.50, the man driving the tractor made is so fun for the kids!

Very reasonable price for animal food, so we got a few bags and took them into the barn and fed the goats (who are so funny, my 5 year old laughed the whole time) my 8 month old loved seeing them, but mostly they loved seeing the little piglets.

We went around seeing all other animals in the barn then went back out and visited the restaurant.

We ordered:
Kids meal tomato pasta with fruit, yoghurt & drink
Tuna jacket potato with side of coleslaw & beans
Crispy chicken burger & fries
Mocha
Can of pepsi
Rasperry unicorn drink
x2 chocolate tarts
= £47

Wasnt badly priced, we were stuffed.

After this she went to play on the little bikes and carts, then whizzed over to the electric karts that cost around £2 a turn. She got a few laps so in my opinion, worth the £2, wish they were a little cheaper to make it more affordable for family days out on a budget, feel like they would have a lot more uses (maybe even if you prepurchase with your tickets you get it discounted? Just an idea)

After this we headed down to see the pond and all of the other animals, it was so lovely! They have a zip line and another park which wasnt as busy because people didnt seem to know it was there. My daughter LOVED it.

We had to actually rush back as the FOAM PARTY had started, it was so good to see all the children have so much fun and get soaking wet on a warm day.

Lastly we grabbed icecreams:
Tub of soft serve with flake and sauce
Sprinkle cone with soft service and flake
Waffle cone with 2 scoops flavoured icecream
=£13ish

Was delicious, highly rate!

Ultimately, we chose to do and pay for extras today but you can have lots of fun without.

The staff were absolutely lovely, and extremely helpful. Even the staff in the restaurant couldnt do enough for you. They were filling up peoples water bottles constantly and not once did I see a face or eyeroll, it was just never a problem. The man driving the tractor coming round with his microphone getting the kids hyped up for the foam party was great fun.

I purchased extras, I dont have a problem, my only gripe from this whole day was needing to pay £2.50 for a blanket to hold the piglets.. I didnt pay it. I felt paying for a barrel ride and kart ride could be justified. But paying for a blanket not so much. 50p-£1 maybe.. BUT.. you could take your own.. thats my bad.

Overall.. amazing day, left at closing time and I honestly felt we didnt get to see everything or stay as long as we could have. Cant wait to go back!!

  Great day out  - We visited here during the school Easter holidays with children and grandchildren, we all had a great day. The children loved the bouncy pillows and the rides and everyone loved... read more cuddling a piglet and feeding the lambs. The animals were very well cared for and the grounds were neat and tidy despite the mud from all the bad weather recently. All the staff were friendly and obliging.

There’s a big playground with jumping pillows also swing and slides, a barrel ride and a little train ride. There’s a marquee with shows taking place and a lovely woodland walk which leads to another big playground and a big duck pond! My grandson’s especially like planting a carrot seed in a pot n then being able to cuddle a piglet. This is probably the best farm and park we’ve been to so far!

It’s incredibly good value for money and suitable for ALL the family -... read more our party included toddlers and grandparents! From the minute you arrive you can tell these guys know their stuff. From the well run carpark which is only a short walk to the ticket office, to the clean, well stocked toilet facilities. The welfare of the animals is clearly top of their agenda but the warm water in the hand wash area was also a lovely touch! There is so much to do and it’s all set amongst some lovely grounds which are easy to navigate with well maintained footpaths. The whole team are friendly and hardworking and a credit to the management team. We can’t wait to return! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  Lovely visit  - We had a lovely visit to Monk Park Farm. This was our first visit here but it certainly won't be our last!
We booked as we saw 'snuggle a snout'... read more advertised. We loved it. There was a lot of time queueing as it was so so busy but we just waited as we really wanted to do it.
The farm is set out well, all very clean, the aminals looked well cared for. The play parks were great, my daughter really enjoyed them.
A great day out, spoilt a tiny but by the queing but its expected on Easter Sunday.

The petting barn is spacious and immaculate, lots of animals to pet and feed all very clean and... read more healthy. Great new goat enclosure.
There is an area with a great selection of ride on toys that my boy loved! All great brands, and quality, nothing was broken! Balance bikes, trikes, tractors etc.
Fab barrel ride which drives around the grounds, they even have cushioned seats and had put some plastic down so you didn’t get a wet bum from the mornings rain.
Sandpit and play areas were large and immaculate never waiting for an activity, suitable for all abilities.
Big bouncy pillows were great fun and there was an area for little children so my boy didn’t get overwhelmed with big kids.
The woodland walk is lovely and just the right length for little legs with lots of animals and play area on the way round.
Nothing was closed, broken down or under repair it was all just excellent.

As a vegan I would have liked a bit more choice in the cafe but the food I saw looked nice, service was quick and there are large picnic areas to enjoy.

We will be going back very soon

Best part for me was cuddling the cute fluffy sheep!

Kids lunch box is incredibly great value, ane our lunch was superb. Very tasty and well priced. Cheeseburger panini needs to become a thing!

We have a farm park like this at home, but Monk Park Farm has the edge for me. Ours at home is also 3 times the price and isnt as much of a friendly place at Monk Park.

Would highly recommend!

Although, strictly speaking, entrance was only for school parties during the week I explained that my friend was only in town for a couple of days and they told me to come along which was really kind. So we were 3 adults and one child but we were all thoroughly impressed with the place. We enjoyed the barrel ride, feeding the animals in the petting barn, the pig racing and wandering around the grounds looking at the wide range of animals they have. The facilities are great, it is a wonderful family day out but to be fair for anyone who loves animals and a nice walk round the park in the fresh air I’d highly recommend it to young and old.

  A must visit especially if you have children. - Really relaxed and friendly welcoming staff that tell you when special events are starting. Our favourite was the pig race and of course the chance to feed the animals.

The booking process was fab and the lady who dealt with my emails was very prompt and gave great detail of what was to be expected and how the day would go. We were well looked after whilst we were there and the children had the best day. We were given a lunch area under a marquee which was fab so that we were separate and it ensured that the children had somewhere to eat their lunch. All the facilities were fantastic and so much for the children to do, they especially loved the play area.

The staff were very friendly and happy to answer the constant questions that a 4 year old can ask. It was a very busy bank holiday but we managed to do all we wanted to with queues moving quickly, the cafe was extremely busy but the table turnover was constant and the food was served quickly.

A perfect start the the long bank holiday weekend. The boys were worn out and slept the way home, they’ve been talking about it for days afterwards. We will be back

We loved the lights and decor or the farm and Santa and the gifts were great. The staff couldn’t have done more for us and we’re all super jolly even in minus degrees. Most of the park is still open and even in freezing conditions we braved a 11.00-3.30 stay! Great day out ️

Our main reason for visiting was for the Christmas experience which was lovely. If we were to have a little niggle it would be that Santa did not have 3 of the 4 children in our group on his list even though they were all on the same booking. This did mean he had to ask the 3 children what their names were and what they liked which did take away some of the magic.
Overall a lovely day

  Had a lovely visit here today 8th December 2022. The main seller was the father Christmas experience. Completely blew us away. You are usually rushed in and out of grotto's... read more but we had 10 mins plus with the big guy. He put on a real show and connected well. Complete professional, no amateur...!

The farm was in a little state of "hibernation", most of the attractions were closed (air bouncer, train and go kart track) but that's not what we went for and it was too cold. We went for the big guy and he didn't disappoint.

The site was set out very magical, lights and lovely theme and feeling. Mrs Claws aka the barrel driver did a fab job and was lovely. Big shout out to all the staff, warm, welcoming and friendly!

Would recommend.

  Myself and my 5 year old son had a great day. It was a fun filled day, we have been before but things did feel a bit more spruced up... read more and a bit more to do. Pros were the friendly staff, the spooky trail, goat bottle feeding and happy animals. Cons were paying extra for the barrel ride, lack of hand washing at the pumpkin carving and the old broken pedal vehicles. But the few niggles didn't stop us having a wonderful day, 5 year old was very taken with guinea pig feeding and petting. Food was fairly reasonable, quick and tasty at the cafe and without exception every staff member we came across was beyond friendly and helpful. We will be back!

  This place just gets better and better!! I’ve been going here since I was a kid and it was good then and now I take my family and this year... read more for autumn they have added a whole pumpkin patch!! You can pick a pumpkin, take pictures in the pumpkin patch with the old tractor, they have a massive basket filled with pumpkins, a big tent you can go in to paint or carve your pumpkin. There’s other pumpkins inside you can buy that are different sizes and funky looking! They have recently put in a train, although a bit too small for adults knees but lovely for kids, two bouncy pillows which are really good, they have lamb feeding where you can bottle feed the lambs, they have some lovely Guinea pigs you can feed, and some goats you can feed with feed bags which are so lovely and love a stroke. The Halloween walk was great too. They have Halloween naughts and crosses and pumpkin bowling. Loved the witches hut (suggestion for next year put a dressed up witch in the witches hut ) the work they have done around the lake is amazing. It used to be so crowded you couldn’t see or appreciate the lake, they have removed the dead trees and left a sign to explain why they removed the dead trees as they were causing an issue for wildlife so removed them to make space around the lake for wildlife which is lovely. The new park by the lake is good! Cafe is good too! Lovely day out, thanks folk!
