We are absolutely delighted to be Highly Commended in the Small Farm Attraction of the Year category of the prestigious National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) Awards 2023.
It is fantastic recognition of everything we have achieved in our past two seasons under new ownership. To say we’ve only been running the farm for such a short time and to receive an award for it means everything!
We all truly love what we do and we are so grateful to all our team who have worked so hard to offer such a wonderful experience for all our visitors. 2022 was a utterly brilliant year. We brought in an amazing new team, transformed the farm, had an incredible sell-out Easter and Halloween, hosted Christmas at the farm for the first time ever, introduced more adorable rare breed animals and got to meet even more of lovely visitors.
We are hoping that our accolade from NFAN will be the start of a great year of awards success here at Monk Park Farm, as we are awaiting the results of a further two awards in February: The Northern Farmer Awards 2023 and the Hambleton Business Awards 2023.
National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) Awards 2023
To be named runner-up in the highly-regarded Small Farm Attraction of the Year category of the NFAN Awards is absolutely amazing, especially as we were competing against some outstanding farms from across the country.
The NFAN Awards recognise the best in the industry and, as such, we had to demonstrate examples of excellence in all areas of our business.
Judges described Monk Park Farm as a great day out, highlighting ease of booking and good signposting on-site.

The awards were presented at a Gala Awards Dinner at Harrogate’s Majestic Hotel, hosted by BBC Countryfile presenter Jules Hudson. Our team had the best night celebrating with all the fantastic winners and finalists. It was so inspiring to meet people from across the country who are doing amazing things with their farm attractions, and we came away with lots of contacts and ideas.
The awards dinner was part of the 2023 NFAN Conference & Trade Exhibition held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, which we also attended. We had a great couple of days networking at the event and got to meet some amazing new suppliers who we can’t wait to bring on board to make 2023 an even bigger and better year!
Northern Farmer Awards 2023
We’ve been shortlisted for two categories in the Northern Farmer Awards 2023: The Outstanding Achievement Award and the Farm Manager of the Year Award.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of this prestigious event, which celebrates the dedication and achievements of farmers from across the north of England. Last year’s awards ceremony welcomed 400 people, and we’re looking forward to being among the guests at this year’s gala dinner on February 23rd.
Hambleton Business Awards 2023
The Hambleton Business Awards recognise the range and diversity of businesses in the district, and celebrate their achievements and the achievements of the people who work there.
We are hoping to be invited to attend the awards ceremony on February 28th and finding out if we have won in the Service Excellence category. Fingers crossed!
