Farmer Lauren and Farmer Mark recently took an exciting road trip to the stunning Lake District, and they didn’t come back empty-handed! We’re thrilled to introduce some adorable new additions to Monk Park Farm – six beautiful Boer goat nannies. Even more exciting, four of them are pregnant, and we believe they’re carrying twins! If all goes as expected, we should have some bouncing baby goats just in time for Easter 2025. To ensure they are in tip-top health before joining our existing stock, these new goats will be staying in quarantine for 28 days.
But that’s not all! We also welcomed seven baby cade lambs from a farmer friend. These little ones are from triplet births, meaning their mums simply can’t provide enough milk for all of them. Since sheep only have two teats, the third lamb often needs extra help, which is where we come in! Our farm team is lovingly bottle-feeding these lambs, alongside the eight we already have in our Lamb Nursery, ensuring they get the best possible start in life at Monk Park Farm.
For the first three weeks, our dedicated team ensures they are strong, healthy, and developing a robust immune system. Farmer Mark is even taking on the night feeds – you might have caught him on Facebook Live during one of his late-night bottle-feeding sessions!
